FACE
Best Tasting - Moisturizing Lip Balm? EOS! Need a quick moisture surge over your lipstain? Want to have a memorable kiss? Long-lasting, great smelling AND tasting lip color - EOS is my new favorite! You've got to try it EOS=Evolution of SMOOTH.

Eyebrows!
Don’t forget to highlight those eyes! Many women totally forget about the eyebrows, when keeping them groomed and filled will frame and soften your face. Get to it! Example below:

Renegade Hairs ... Have chin, lip, or face hairs that won’t go away? Pluck or wax weekly and maintain control.
Cosmetic Surgery:
If your doctor says that you are a candidate, do it! For temporary but instant results, look into Botox® Cosmetic, Juvederm® and Restylane® to make wrinkles and lines disappear. Not for the light wallet ...
Or Not? Get yourself a product containing Strivectin SD® . While it is primarily touted for its stretch mark reducing ability, it also smoothes out lines and skin tone! Found in your health food and vitamin stores.
Blusher Definition: Start at the hollows of your cheeks and stroke blush up along the sides of the eyes and all the way past the temples. This gives you a healthy, natural looking face color.
What Color? That depends on your skin color (fair, medium, dark). The main thing is to ensure that you don’t clash with your lipstick base. Brown-based blusher usually matches any shade of lipstick, otherwise keep to a coral/copper or pink/red theme.
Teeth:
Keep those teeth white! Nothing ruins a great look or lip color faster than less-than perfect whites. Don't bother with high priced dental visits; over-the-counter whitening kits are effective IF used consistently.
Sensitive teeth: Make sure you invest in a tube of Sensodyne® if you experience discomfort after whitening. The secret to effective use? Spit but don’t rinse!
SKIN
Don't forget to wash it ALL off every night! Top pick with awards to boot?

mark Make It Go Away Makeup Removing Wipes
Whether you-re exhausted after a long night out or sweaty after a workout, these towelettes - saturated with a gentle cleanser - are a great substitute for your regular face wash and can even be used to remove eye makeup. Pack of 30 wipes.
Multi-use facial: Lava Soap! Lava derives its name from the pumice it uses from volcanic activity. Created in 1893 for use by coal miners, it contains pumice to get out practically any makeup AND has built in moisturizers! When in a pinch, Lava works!

Don’t Scrub ...
You’ll irritate oil glands and induce acne. A healthy fingertip massage works best.
Exfoliate! Erase blackheads, minimize pore size, and create a healthy glow. Make sure to use a gentle scrub at least twice per week. LaLa’s favorite: St. Ives® Swiss Formula Apricot Scrub

Fight Acne: ProActive® Solution
is a proven medication that gets rid of recurring blemishes for as long as you take the medication. See a dermatologist and get a prescription!
Change your Pillowcase! Flip your pillow and change your pillow case every other night. Bacteria buildup on fabric that lies against your face for up to 8 hours per night can irritate sensitive skin. See a reduction in acne breakouts in as little as a week!
Need Zit Help Fast?
Find a product that contains the heaviest amount of Salicylic acid. Benzoil peroxide is also another good ingredient (although it can dry out tender skin) and can be found in most acne control products.
Emergency Zit Trick: Dot a bit of Visine® on your pimple. It constricts blood vessels and will minimize swelling and redness!
Covering a Zit: It’s ok if you spot it with acne-drying makeup first. LaLa favorite: Clinique® Acne Solutions Concealing Stick
Are you one of those people whose hands are so dry they crack or peel? Aveda Hand Relief has a light scent and 100% natural ingredients to instantly moisturize without residue AND it builds up skin elasticity over time.

Flawless Finish: Look for ‘full coverage’ liquid or powder-based foundation when you want to cover freckles, birthmarks, moles, and other marks for a younger look. LaLa’s Favorite: L'oreal Bare Naturale Mineral Foundation

Natural Finish: Look for ‘light coverage’ when you want to even out minor skin discoloration or reduce reddish patches.
I Don’t Wear Makeup: Can’t stand liquid goo on your face? Powdered foundation is great if you have normal-to-oily skin.
* Remember to pat – not wipe – powder on your face.
EYES
Brighten up your eyes by trying Almay Bright Eyes Liner /Highlighter Duo pencil! The creamy glitz goes on your lid, the dark color shows best as a liner and crease color. Eyes glow with the light lid color!

Latisse - Seeing is Believing!

If you have sparse lashes and dollars burning a hole in your pocket, then step up to modern science! Latisse - costs around $100 for a three month supply - WORKS. I tested it to bring the results to you, and I'm happy to show you 12 weeks later! *Available by prescription only.
PS: You wouldn't believe how my eyelashes look with MASCARA!
Mascara Coverage: Did you know you have at least two layers of lashes on the top lid? Make sure you coat the top AND bottom of your upper row to get the fullest lash. Double up with two mascaras and wand types to get the fattest lash and throw out that eyelash curler!
Irritated Eyes: Replace mascara every 3 months for optimum eye health. New eye drop formulas contain allergy reduction for seasonal watery eyes and redness.
Eye Pencils: Your most natural color of eye liner will match the outer ring color of your eyes. Blondes should avoid black liner – dark gray or moss green is more flattering.
Asian Eyes: Keep color nearest the whites of your eyes. Be sure to brush light colors near the brow and concentrate color at the crease.
LIPS
Long Lasting Lips: Instead of purchasing an all-day lipstick that requires constant moisturizing, try an 10-hour lipstick instead. LaLa’s favorite: Loreal Infallible comes in matte and luminescent finishes.
Trick: Apply lipstick, powder lips, and then reapply. Lips stay put - even through coffee sips!
Feathering: Reduce the look of feathering or ‘cracked’ lips by applying a wax based lip liner. Keep those liner pencils sharp! Go for a shade darker than your lipstick, but ensure it is in the same color family (coral/copper or pink/red).
Lip Liner Application Tips:
- Thin Lips: Draw your lip liner on and slightly above the lip line to increase your pout. Dry 2 seconds; apply fill color.
- Full Lips: Keep your lip liner just inside the lip line; dry 2 seconds; fill with lipstick, then press to blend.
Try a low-priced glam Look: Try lip liner + chapstick or neutral lip color. The look is attractive, polished, and works best for day-time beauty. Line, roll-on, then press. Voila - new lip color for pennies!
Dry Lips?
Apply dimethicone-based lip balm every night and throughout the day. LaLa’s favorite: Blistex® Berry Lip Balm
Best Tasting - Moisturizing Lip Balm? EOS! Ok, so I still use my medicated Blistex EVERY night. But when I want to make my long-last lip color KISSABLE and moist, EOS is my new favorite! You've got to try it EOS=Evolution of SMOOTH.

Get Straight Hair

Got curls? Want straight hair for 7 washes? You've GOT to try Garnier's new Blow Dry Perfector. A 2 step process that enables even the curliest hair to wind down for up to two weeks!
Frizzies
- TRIM!
- Get yourself a jar of smoothing pomade.
Be careful with thick pomade since only a dime size amount will do. Rub your hands together first, then apply to the ends. Smooth onto the outer layer of your hair and watch shine appear and frizz vanish!
Use an anti-humidity hairspray. Polly’s favorite: Tresemme No-Frizz Shine Spray

Instant Shine & Goodbye Frizz!

(Redken Extreme Anti-snap): Available mainly at salons, this product is the equivalent to Botox for Hair! Instant shine, manageability, and smooth ends. Apply the creme to towel-dried hair and watch a miracle happen!
Color:
Your best primary color will be a shade similar to your eyebrow color. For an updated look, however, dark hair deserves red/burgundy highlights. Lighter hair has more fun with champagne or bleach highlights around the face and crown.
Color Trends
- Darker hair at the nape of the neck with highlights around the face
- Short, closely cropped hair with highlight-peaks at the crown
Cut - What’s Hot?
- Shoulder length: chunky-cut hair with bangs
- Longer hair: face-framing layers
Style Trends
- Side-swept pony tail
- Loose, tousled up-do
- Long bangs side-swept just above the eye
Criss Cross Applesauce ... Want a new look without a drastic cut? Go against your natural part and take a small section of hair across your face in a 'sweep.' Alternate remaining hair at the crown in the other direction. Instant body and a new look - EASY!
Fading:
Keep hair color fresh by touching up color a minimum of every 6 weeks. If you have chosen a blonde or gold shade and find your hair dulling, consider low-lights (a dark shade infusion) to restore shine and manageability.
Shine: Conditioning is not optional for some hair types. Double up your efforts with a conditioning spritz after the shower. If you blow dry, give your hair additional defense by spritzing heat-resistant hair products.
Black Hair:
Moisturize with an oil-based hair conditioner every morning whether you wash or not. Your hair will grow faster and stronger than with conditioning cream alone, and oil doesn’t cause flaky scalp like creams can.

NAILS
Shape & Length
Follow your cuticle. Square nails are popular, but a rounded nail gives shorter nails and fingers a longer appearance. To get the best look for your hand, use your cuticle shape as a guide.
Buff and shine. If you can’t keep up with the weekly regimen of polishing nails and waiting for layers to dry, keep your nails buffed to a shine. Four–way nail buffers are perfect for removing ridges, pushing back cuticles (make sure fingers are moist), and adding a natural shine that will last for days!

Remove Yellow in Nails, Ridges: The average store buffer is "ok" for general touch ups, but to get it right the first time you need an AWESOME buffer! This one is Vivo, $4.99, from Cleopatra's Choice. The results? You decide below:

Short Fingers: Regardless of your cuticle line, rounded nails look best and give shorter fingers a longer, more feminine look.
Push and Grow= Longer Nails! To stimulate nail growth, push cuticles back on each fingertip after every shower!
Polish & Shine

The BEST nail polish brush: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail color! The brush is actually large enough to cover a fingernail, and dries in 60 seconds! Not for long term wear, however...
Quick Color: Sally Hansen Nail Color Pen Fast Dry is here! Quick touch ups, easy French Manicures, all in minutes!

Polish on or polish off. Once nails chip, either cheat by reapplying a pseudo layer, or take it off. Your hands are a subconscious statement about your personal hygiene – make sure that statement is positive!
Yellow Nails. Polish containing formaldehyde or red tinted pigments are the most common reasons for yellowing nails. To get rid of yellow fast, use a ‘ridge removing’ nail buffer. Follow with a soapy wash and moisture, and then be sure to apply non-formaldehyde formulas in the future. LaLa’s favorite: O.P.I. Nail Lacquer
Try before you buy: Here’s a fun place to try on different polish colors without making a buying mistake: O.P.I. provides a wide range of colors to virtually try-on...

Alternative: Try Dr. Scholl's For Her Sole Expressions I've bought and inserted into every pair of shoes I own! Stylish, comfortable, and they LAST!
